May 2020 The Last of Us Part 2 State of Play Play Every 2020 State of Play May 2020 Ghost of Tsushima State of Playĭuring the first show of 2020, Sony focused solely on Ghost of Tsushima, detailing its open world, combat, photo mode, and more ahead of its July 2020 release. On the third-party front, Capcom confirmed the then-rumored Resident Evil 3 Remake alongside its forgettable multiplayer companion Resident Evil Resistance. Sony also showed off more of its creative tool/game Dreams, which was given a new trailer and Valentine’s Day 2020 release date. Sucker Punch closed out 2019’s final State of Play with a brief cutscene from Ghost of Tsushima's gorgeous open world. The promising reveal trailer ended with a 2020 release window, though Humanity is now due out sometime this year. Most importantly, it revealed the sequel’s February 2020 release date, though that’d eventually be pushed to June.Ĭall of Duty: Modern Warfare showed off its still-impressive visuals in a new campaign trailer, while Tetris Effect developer Enhance announced a new puzzle game called Humanity. The Last of Us Part 2 received a three-minute trailer during Sony’s third State of Play, giving us more insight into Ellie’s story, showing off more of its brutal combat, and teasing returning characters Tommy and Joel. Predator: Hunting Grounds, the console-exclusive licensed asymmetrical multiplayer game, was also revealed during the show, as was the release date for MediEvil, the 2019 remake of Sony’s PS1 hack-and-slash adventure. Sony’s first broadcast was unsurprisingly one of its least bombastic, though the show also featured a new story trailer for Bend Studio’s then-upcoming open-world zombie game Days Gone. It was one of several PSVR titles shown off that day, alongside the previously announced Blood & Truth, which received a release date. Iron Man VR was the biggest announcement from Sony’s first-ever State of Play, which aired on March 25, 2019. ![]() ![]() Every feature in Florensia is connected to this grand narrative. Unions formed and shattered, pirates emerged as a dangerous force, and the legacy of the preceding generations resurfaced when nature itself rebelled and gave birth to horrible creatures. But instead of living in peace, the few humans who survived the great upheaval started to fight against each other. Slowly, remains of the ancestors' culture began to re-appear. Legend has it that these separate localities were once parts of a larger landmass, but due to reckless use of magic, this continent burst into an unknown number of pieces. The current environment consists of three mysterious islands and the vast ocean. Jonric: What happened in the past to create the setting in which Florensia takes place, and to what extent does the story element tie into it this history or lore? Simone Lackerbauer: Based on an epic storyline, Florensia allows players to dig deep into the realm's origins, and to explore the volatile legacy of its ancestors. And although the quality of the features rivals those of a pay to play MMOG, it's completely free, and is supported by a micro-transaction revenue model. The in-world tutorial makes it easy for beginners to start their adventures, and the game provides many long-term goals and quests for core enthusiasts. ![]() Players are able to take advantage of trading, PvP, faction wars, quests, dungeons, exploration, naval or basic land combat, 12 character classes and much more. Florensia is attractive for such individuals due to the variety of possibilities it offers. Jonric: Whether by play styles, demographics or both, what kinds of gamers comprise your core target market, and what will most strongly appeal to them? Simone Lackerbauer: Our target group consists of both casual and core gamers between the ages of 14 and 29 in Europe and North America. We are currently one step ahead of the Japanese version, but ours will experience a slight delay in the future since our new updates and features will be translated into and tested in seven languages. The open beta of the western global version started quite recently, on July 21, and the commercial launch, which will feature our brand new item shop, is planned for this month. Jonric: When and where was the original launch? What's the status of the western version, and does it differ from the domestic one? Simone Lackerbauer: The commercial launch of Florensia Japan took place at the end of 2007. Florensia itself is the name of the realm of the five islands, and in the language of magic, it means "traveling and working for your goals". They can defend themselves on the vast ocean, and will find adventure at each new destination. Unions formed and shattered, pirates emerged as a dangerous force, and the legacy of the preceding generations resurfaced when nature itself rebelled and gave birth to horrible creatures.Players start out in the small beginners' town of Roxbury, and then travel from one island to another with their own ships. As they level up their characters, they will be able to take advantage of more features that are available. Since we first started development in early 2006, we've continued to expand on this idea by finding new ways for users to explore their world for example, we created a fully interactive environment, and recently added the Avery dungeon. ![]() This gives multiple options for gameplay, including combat on land and sea, as well as the opportunity to engage in exploration, trade and massive battles. ![]() Jonric: Since it's likely at least some readers aren't yet familiar with Florensia, what type of game is it, and what are the basic facts you'd like to present before we get into its specific features and elements? Simone Lackerbauer: Florensia is a free to play, next-gen MMOG from Japan that features a unique dual battle system. ![]() ![]() There is a reason why the subway tile trend won’t die. ![]() With so many tile options to choose from, we understand that choosing a kitchen backsplash can feel overwhelming-that’s why we offer free design services!
